Last Updated: December 1, 2025

1. Definitions

In this document, "we, our" refers to zDiskuss (as an entity) and "you" refers to the customer/user (Registered User to zDiskuss). "Service, ZD, zDiskuss" refers to zDiskuss as a website service. Whenever we mention "Personal Data" or we refer to it as data that would otherwise not be public, as well as data that could indirectly identify a user.

It is important to note as well that zDiskuss is based in the United States, Houston, Texas - though our service is provided worldwide. Registering to zDiskuss (and whenever your next login is) means you agree to our Privacy Policy.

2. Why we collect data

zDiskuss processes your data in order to do the following:
- Give Customer Support (e.g. Password Resets, Moderation Inquiries and appeals)
- Moderation (e.g. Blacklisting, IP bans, etc.)
- Legal Compliance (e.g. Forwarding to appropriate authorities when required to do so)
- User Quality of Life (e.g. Timezones for posts)

Data will be given to the appropriate authorities if identified or requested. We have a 0 tolerance for illegal content being posted. Data that can assist law enforcement will be forwarded if needed.

We do not, and will never, give out information of a user to a third-party unless clearly stated. As of the 29th of November 2025, we do not interact with third parties.

We will never sell your personal information. That shit is lame!

3. Data we collect

We attempt to minimize collecting data that is not required for us to process.
When you register, an ID and username of your choice is used to identify your account.

Data that is collected:
- IP Address
- E-mail
- Usernames
- Age
- Timezone
- Last login
- Concurrent users online

Data that you explicitly and willingly submit, such as:
- Comments
- Artwork uploads
- Blog posts
- Shoutbox messages

Data that may be collected outside of zDiskuss:
- Payment processor information (For user donations to our service)

Users may have their transaction information between us linked privately to their acccount, in order to give perks such as Donator specific cosmetics. This data is not shared to any third party and will not be publicised.

Users will have an option to publically display donator roles and their benefits from such.

Although we do not directly collect such data (such as Shoutbox Messages), they are retained in our databases.

4. How long we store data and supporting data deletion

We allow users to delete and create requests to delete their data. As long as a user is registered to our service, their data is retained by us.

Data, such as Artwork uploads, are permanently deleted when done so. Users have a right to obtain a copy of this data by contacting us directly and requesting. This is in compliance with the UK's 2018 GDPR law. There is no grace period for account deletion.

Database backups may be made to secure data (e.g. in the scenario of a data loss incident). This data is maintained privately by us. To request for data deletion (if unable to do it through our site), contact support@zDiskuss.com.

5. Children

Registering under 16 is not allowed (as stated in our website rules) and zDiskuss does not knowingly collect data from users under 13. Parents are strongly advised to monitor their children when they are using the internet.
Our website is COPPA compliant, as we do not retain data from anyone under 16.
